At a special "Car Control" clinic, held at the "World's Fastest Half-Mile" racetrack, Terri Hammer and a bunch of spectators and VIPs cheered her husband, Hal, as he drove the #48 Lowes Chevrolet to the quickest and fastest laps of the session. About 30 drivers from all over the USA participated in this unique event, organized by the wonderful folks at the Richard Petty Driving Experience. The staff demonstrated a high degree of efficiency and professionalism in running the event safely and flawlessly. The Richard Petty Driving Experience organization offers various levels of actual driving and ride-along experiences, for any licensed driver, not just experienced race car drivers like Hammer. "It was a good program and the race cars were excellent. The #48 car fit me perfectly and it was fast!I had lots of fun driving in this event", said Hal Hammer, Jr., a former stock car short track champion.
