Brad Paisley-Des Moines, IA

So my girlfriend who I met while we were both in the military, I am out now, and she is still in, stationed in Washington State. I find out that brad paisley is coming to Des Moines, so I find 4th row tickets, that set me back 300 bucks, plus I buy her plane ticket here and another 300 bucks. Well this past saturday, her flight is supposed to get here to Des Moines at 430, the concert starts at 730. Her flight leaves Seattle at 6am, she gets to Portland just a bit after 7am. Her next flight to Minneapolis leaves at 825am, well when they got on the plane and started taxing to the runway, they had to turn around and come back, mechinacial problems with the landing gear. So they kept them on the plane for 45 minutes while trying to fix the problem. They finally take them off the plane and finally say they have the problem fixed and reboard them, well, it wasnt fixed, and they had them get off the plane again. There was only 2 more flights leaving to minneapolis, so since her seat was clear in the back of the plane she was alomst last in line for trying to rebook the flight, well by the time she finally got to the counter the first flight was over booked, so the only options was to take the second flight and get to minneapolis at 730 and then fly to Omaha at 1130 that night, or leave in the morning from portland and get the first flight to des moines. So I end up driving to Minneapolis and picking her up, but as the plane got in, it was stuck, cause they couldnt get the door open, it was stuck, so another 20 minutes later and they finally get it open, So it was 8pm before we finally leave the minneapolis airport, and it was a bit after midnight before we got back to des moines. And all she got was a 25 dollar off the next purchase of 100 dollars or more for airfare, so that dosent say much for the customer service at Northwest Airline. So we never made it the concert and it was a belated valentines day present to top it off, but its the thought that counts, right??!!??
