Biggest Orioles Fan - Even when in Yankee Stadium

On August 13, 2007 my boyfriend and I went to see the Orioles play the Yankees in the New York. Let me first give this helpful information, he is a die hard Yankee fan being from New Jersey and I am a killer Orioles fan being raised in Baltimore. We often find ourselves in heated debates over what player ranks at the top of all players or whose going to stick in their for the wild card, the orioles or yankees. On game day I find myself visiting yankee stadium for the first time. Decked out in Orioles apparrel the looks I received were astonishing. My boyfriend laughed and said, "I told you." We had great seats, six rows from the field, behind Yankee dugout. He was so excited, Jeter and A Rod up close, he couldnt believe the seats I was able to get. This game was already great. I looked around for some orioles fans, not one in sight. I thought to myself, "Ok, so I still cheer, who cares?" Well needless to say the O's cranked out 3 runs in the first inning alone and I found myself cheering alone. Yankee fans made comments, threw things at me, and asked me to leave. I wasn't going anywhere. By the end of the game, the people around me just got used to it and even though the Orioles lost 7-6, the best part was when a Yankee fan turned and said, "Man u have to have some heart coming in here dressed like that and cheering the way you did, are all O's fans as brave as you." I thanked him for the compliment and smiled. Later that night I told my boyfriend it was just how I expected, typical New Yorkers, but truly dedicated fans.
