Did anyone else go to John Fogerty’s concert at Mohegan Sun Arena on December 2, 2006?
This concert was so loud that the lyrics were inaudible. Also, John Fogerty’s songs have very high pitched guitar notes in them. It was physically uncomfortable to sit through this concert. There were tons of people around me who were holding their hands over their ears. I did the same before leaving midway through the show.
I think that John Fogerty and/or his fans must all be half-way deaf. I have been to enough rock concerts to know that this was not normal.
I don’t care how good his music is; it’s not worth going deaf for. Furthermore, every aspect of the sound was completely distorted (not just the lyrics). So even if you were willing to have long-term hearing damage, there was nothing worth listening to.
I had to walk out. So I left before “Proud Mary,” “Lookin' Out My Back Door,” “Down on The Corner,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and even “Fortunate Son”!
Have you ever had a similar experience- an experience were a concert event so great is ruined and un-enjoyable? Did anyone experience the same problem with John Fogerty’s concert at Mohegan Sun Arena on December 2, 2006?
Maybe the sound technicians didn’t know what they were doing. Maybe John Fogerty caters to an aging and mostly deaf fan base.
