CSNY @ MSG 8/20
Yup, it did seem like they played forever, and they almost did. They started pretty close to on time, which was 7:30, and went until abotu 9:15 on the first set. The break was about 20 minutes and the second set was about 1 1/2 hours. There were no encores, but Rockin in The Freeworld was the last song of the night, which has also been the encore at some of the previous shows.
This is definitely a politically charged show, so if you have any friends going that are extreme right wing or anything of the like, warn them, because they may not be too happy of a camper at this concert. I wasn't bothered one way or another, but one of my colleagues at work also went and they ended up leaving shortly after the 2nd set started because a guy they went with is a Bush supporter and couldn't take it anymore. ;)
Go with open ears and minds, enjoy the walk down memory lane with the old stuff, and let Uncle Neil speak his piece. The show is worth it. :)
