Cheap Trick, Heart and Journey Rock at River Bend

Sunday September 7th the crowds were entertained with first Cheap Trick, then Heart commanded the stage doing a great set. Anne and Heart did their verion of the Who's "Reign O'er Me" and a Zep song that were flawless and were accompanied by a phenomenal light show. Anne, accompanied by Nancy and their keyboardist performed an amazingly heart felt version of "What About Love" that had the crowd riveted. After coming back for an encore the crowd went into overdrive as Heart ended their concert with some of their best hits. Journey hit the stage and their new lead singer Arnel Pineda knocked out what can only be described as new classical versions of the original songs. Journey was exceptional as a whole as the group came to perform and did an amazing job of just that. An eye searing light show accompanied by the excellent performances of Neal Schon, Ross Valory, Jonathan Cain, Deen Castronovo, and their new lead vocalist the amazing Arnel Pineda. If you are a fan of any of the aforementioned groups I urge you to see what was a great night of music, fans and friends!

JOURNEY Heart Cheap Trick

The JOURNEY show at Verizon wireless on september 10, 2008 was amazing. Journey surpassed my expectations and put on the best show. They played for 2 hours of non stop hits and fun. It was electric. They played songs from Captured and I never thought in a millon years that they would sing any of those songs. I am so glad they did. Those songs were a great surprise. Jonathon (sexy) Cain sang songs ("just the same way" and "anytime" that Gregg Rollie originally performed and of course - he rocked. Dean sang "mother, father" and did an amazing job. That is a hard song to sing.

I haven't seen JOURNEY in concert for almost 20 years, so I was pretty excited to finaly see my favorite group ever in concert again. ( I never accepted the first two Perry replacements- but I have accepted Arnel and HE ROCKED!) He did a great job. I truley enjoyed myself and left wanting more, but was at the same time, satisfied. I took my 14 year old daughter to the concert with me and she left the concert an even bigger JOURNEY fan than when she arrived.

The new album is fantastic. I enjoyed the new songs they sang at the concert. I think they only played 3 or 4 of them, but I would have been so dissapointed if they wouldn't have played so many of the old classics.

I just can't think of a time when I had so much fun. I am in Heaven when I hear JOURNEY - old or new. Tina Helbert Auburn,Indiana
