No one's dissing him because he's white. In my book, he gets MORE props for being able to make a splash in the urban market. I'll admit that, when he came out, I just about refused to get his album cuz I can't forgive the audio diarreha (sp?) that was N'STINK. But his songs are catchy and "my Love" is the hotness.
But seriously, Justin, Usher, Ne-yo etc GREW UP listening to Prince's records. They could have been CONCIEVED to his sound. To say that he's had no influence on their music is, well...dumb. There's more to music than what's been regurgitated in the last 15 years. Before you decide to knock a Rock-n-Roll hall of Fame inductee in favor of someone that wore mouse ears for a living, LISTEN TO THE MUSIC.
'Darling Nikki' is the ORIGINAL 'Cry Me a River'. That song's all about getting back at a chick for being a slutbucket.
