Rude and Ignorant Football Fans

I just recently went to my very first NFL game featuring my two favorite teams, it was a dream conme true that will probably never happen again in my life time. It was the Seattle Seahawks versus the Green Bay Packers. Just to be there in that field was an awesome experience for both my husband and I. I have been a Packer fan since I was 14 years old, and my favorite all time player in the NFL is Brett Favre! Now this game was a Monday Night game and they said that it is probably the last Monday Night Football game of Brett's career because it looks like he will be retiring after this season. So it was even better to be there! I was dressed in Packer clothing and my husband had Sahwawk wear on. I was amazed at how badly I was treated by the seahawk fans, even thought I am also a Seahawk fan. There were guys hitting me on the top of my head, saying vulgar things to me, and worse than all of that was when we were leaving the game, which the Seahawks won, we stopped outside to look at some shirts and some young, drunk guy ripped my cheese-head off of my head and took off running with it. I couldn't believe it! I was so upset that I couldn't talk, and my husband chased after him but didn't catch him because he was lost in the crowd. One of my very good friends had brought back for me all the way from Lambeau Field that cheese-head so it had special meaning for me. But some young, drunk punk had to ruin what was a wonderful, dream come true night, by stealing something that meant something to me. Now since then, I have wondered what would have happened to me had the Packers won? Scary to think about considering all of the guys who had been physically and verbally abusive to me during the game. Something to think about the next time you go to a game. Thanks for reading!
