The Stones! I've seen them 9 times since 1981. They are the best. You can't count them out. For some reason they play with a fury to prove something. What ever it is I hope they keep doing it. The show was great 9/27/06. I took my 9 year old son. His second time around on the bigger bang tour. This time he was ready and knew the songs. It was at his age I bought my first Stones album They opened with it's only rock and roll. Ya lets rock. They hit their stride with monkey man. Keith and Ronny were great. Mick seemed really pumped for the show. He was bouncing off the walls. Charlie is always great. With out him? I miss Bill. His playing wasn't appreciated as much as it should have been until he left. Darrel is good, but Bill was great. the stones have never disappointed me. I expect them to sound like a garage band now and again. When they are firing on all cylinders it's like magic. Midnight Rambler had that magic. I would like to see them move away from the standards at the end of the show. then again if you bring a 9 year old son to the show and he tells you after. " That was an awesome show dad" What can you say. There will never be another band like them again. They are the greatest rock and roll band in the world.
