Who Has The Who Been to You?

Even though they’ve lost most of their members to some sort of drug-related death, and the survivors are over 60, the long and short of it is that The Who still rocks. They've been called the greatest rock band of all time and also the most influential. While “greatest” may be debatable and also short-lived as soon as the next “greatest” band is born, most influential, they win.

The Who has a list of firsts that would fill a Guinness Book of World Records. In fact, one of their most rockin’ is their Guiness World record for loudest concert ever. They received the award for their 1976 performance at Charlton Athletic Football Ground, holding the honor for over a decade.

Shakira Statuesque in Hometown

Shakira has now been immortalized in iron…literally. Just like legend Sammy Sosa became an icon in the center of his hometown in the Dominican Republic, Latina pop-star Shakira shined in Barranquilla, Columbia yesterday, with the unveiling of a 15-foot, six-ton iron statue in her honor.

She returned the nod by performing a concert later that evening to the throes of fans that loved her so much they gave the little birdies this to perch on. The statue arrived by boat, donated by German artist Dieter Patt. After viewing the statue at a fundraiser in Germany, she said, “I want people to think that any girl can start working on her dreams and that they will come true."

Frivolity, Frat Boys, and Fun Times with Borat

Borat famously asks, “I like you, do you like me”, and it now appears many people do not.

Lawsuits continue to fly at Sasha Baron Cohen’s alter-ego, Kazakhstany faux-reporter, Borat. Frank Grimes (not afraid of the 3rd person mind you) is on your side Borat. I’m sick of whiny people with too much time on their hands. These morons clogging our court systems with frivolous lawsuits are the real dangers to American society.

Take these two idiot Frat guys. Does idiot even need to placed in front of frat guy, or is it simply implied at this point? In case you haven’t heard, two over-privileged delinquents from some college in the south claim their appearance in Borat’s movie caused them, “humiliation, mental anguish, and emotional and physical distress, loss of reputation, goodwill and standing in the community...” This coming from two kids who are probably no strangers to keg stands and streaking.

Michael Jackson Proves He's Still Weird

Michael Jackson duped us again. The ever-elusive singer actually showed up to the World Music Awards and displayed his gaunt ghost-like grille, but as for the recreation of the Thriller scenes, we were left watching Chris Brown do a solo version of the song.

But Michael managed to make matters worse. Apparently a year in hiding didn’t do any good. He has yet to learn anything from the problems he has had such an integral part in creating for himself.

Think Michael Jackson. What comes to mind within the first couple seconds is usually “pedophile.” The majority of people accused of that would be actively working to distance themselves from that title, as it has been career suicide for virtually anyone remotely involved with such accuasations.

Public Enemy Takes it on Tour

Believe the hype. Public Enemy is back on tour. The legendary rap group is poised for the release of their new album “Beats and Places” on Nov. 28th.

So far only a few tour dates have been announced, but the list will surely grow. PE fans run deep. With the current resurgence of all things 80s, it’s the perfect time for a come back. And let’s face it, Public Enemy has always known what time it is.

Public Enemy’s name has been synonymous with origination and trend setting. Public Enemy was the first group to center their image on the rebellious political, social and cultural commentary of front man Chuck D. The D is for dangerous. They hugely influenced the hip hop scene, overseas and in the United States.

Snoop Dogg's Doggfather Clothing Line: Canine Couture

What's not to love about Snoop Dogg? He's got great hair, loads of talent and he mixes a mean gin 'n juice. And now he'll dress your dog in the finest of furry friend fashions. Introducing Doggfather, Snoop Dee-Oh-Double-Gee's very own dog clothing line.

The brand, which is (shockingly) scheduled to launch at the same time as Snoop's barely-marketed new album "Tha Blue Carpet Treatment", will feature doggie-sized hoodies emblazoned with the Doggfather logo. It will also feature a (faux) fur jacket in a weirdly self-referential animal print. Then, of course, there will be the Snoop-designed dog toys and unspecified "accessories"... maybe a teeny tiny Cadillac Escalade or a bottle of hair/fur wax to give your dog's coat that Snoop Doggy smooth style?

Josh Groban Tour to "Awake"n the Senses

For a guy that went to the prom stag, Josh Groban has come a long way. Even though he’s still single, that’s more a result of his hectic tour schedule than a lack of female admirers.

Tomorrow morning (Nov. 16) at 10 a.m. his newest release, “Awake,” will be the source of pre-sale codes for his 2007 tour. When you buy his CD at Target, a unique code is included and you can get tickets before they go on sale to the general public. It’s like a little window to Josh’s soul.

His latest release promises the same, as he was more hands-on this time around, writing and producing a number of songs on the 13-track album. It takes Josh to new places musically, with songs in Italian, Spanish and English. He collaborated with such legends as Herbie Hancock, Ladysmith Black Mambayo, Glen Ballard and even Dave Matthews.

Britney Spears Sex Tape: K-Fed's Nasty Divorce Ammunition

Just when you think Kevin Federline couldn't be any more vile than he already is, something like this surfaces in the news: He's got a sex tape and he's ready to sell it if he doesn't get what he wants in the divorce.

British gossip rag News of the World broke the story today, citing a rumored offer of $49.3 million that may convince Kevin to hand over the tape to a film company that apparently specializes in salacious amateur movies.

According to unidentifiable but widely believed sources, the tape is four hours long and features a variety of... how do you say?... physical manifestations of love. And a couple games of chess. No, seriously. I guess it was one of those erotic chess games, which makes a little bit of sense. But is anybody else shocked that Britney and Kevin would even know the rules for chess?
